The lab strives to offer an open, collaborative and fun environment. Lab members, past and present, come from places throughout the world, united in their interest to pursue rigorous, mechanistic-based science with clinical relevance (and probably also to enjoy Stanford’s good weather). Valuing the unique path traveled by each person in the lab is essential for our lab culture and scientific success. Finally, as science can be cruel, grit, humility, and having a healthy sense of irony are useful traits to hone in the lab.
